Zoe has voiced the character in the animation LEGO Batman: The Movie, but she's also known for her work on the Big Little Lies series and Mad Max: Road of Fury and the Fantastic Animals franchise.
Catwoman has appeared at other times in the cinema: the first with Lee Meriwether in Batman the Batman (1966); Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman: The Return (1992); Halle Berry in Catwoman (2004); and Anne Hathaway in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises (2012), though not simply named Selina Kyle, the original character identity.
According to Forbes, the project written and directed by Matt Reeves (Planet of the Apes: The War) can count on Robin as the Batman's right-hand man.
In addition to the duo, Commissioner Gordon and Alfred should also appear in production. On the other hand, a trio of classic villains may appear: Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler.
Forbes does not confirm whether Robin will be nicknamed Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake or Damian Wayne. What we do know for now is that The Batman will focus on the DC hero's formative years, so they decided on 32-year-old Pattinson.
Reeves is expected to do a trilogy with Pattinson as Batman.
Pattinson will be the successor to Ben Affleck, who played Batman in "Batman vs. Superman", "Suicide Squad" and "Justice League". In theaters, the hero has also been lived by names like Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale.
Since the first announcement of the Twilight star's hiring for The Batman, fan reactions have been split. While some started petitions to replace him, others cheered, pointing to Pattinson's good performances in films such as Good Behavior and High-Life.
The film is scheduled to open in June 2021.
