Actor Mark Ruffalo, best known for living Hulk in the Marvel Film Universe (MCU), criticized the president on Twitter Jair Bolsonaro (no party) for accusing without evidence Leonardo DiCaprio of having supported the burning in the Amazon.
"Bolsonaro and his gang are scapegoating the people who protect the Amazon from the fires it has allowed to happen," Ruffalo wrote.
"Ask yourself: what has recently changed in Brazil to make it happen now? Bolsonaro and his (non) environmental policies," added the actor.

It all started on Thursday, when Bolsonaro again blamed NGOs for burning in the Amazon and accused DiCaprio of donating money to these institutions. According to Bolsonaro, NGOs would be buying and posting forged photos of the fires to receive donations and campaign "against Brazil."
The Oscar winner yesterday denied funding NGOs investigated for alleged involvement in burning in the Amazon, but said they deserve support. "Although they deserve support, we do not fund the organizations," DiCaprio said, according to press releases released by the AP and Reuters news agencies last night.
