Henrik Larsson is in pole position to become Southend United's next manager.
Former Celtic striker Barcelona and Manchester United should also name former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt as his assistant at Roots Hall, he said. The Southend Echo.
Larsson, who has assisted the club on two occasions this season – including a 4-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon – is the company's favorite at the League One club.
He must also bring former Celtic striker Tommy Johnson to his team.
Larsson's last term in office came with the Swedish club Helsingsborg, but gave up after he was beaten on social media after a defeat by third division Oskarshamns AIK.
Southend President Ron Martin said the compromise is near.
