Lucy Hale’s “Katy Keene” will not continue her path to fame. The series, a spin-off of “Riverdale”, was canceled after a single season on the American broadcaster CW – in Brazil, the production will air on HBO.
The information is from The Hollywood Reporter. “Katy Keene” was the only cancellation of the CW this season: in addition to “Riverdale” itself, which goes into its fifth season, the channel guaranteed new episodes of series like “The Flash” and “Supergirl”, among several others.
In addition to the title character, played by Hale (“Pretty Little Liars”), “Katy Keene” featured Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) as one of the protagonists. The character, out of “Riverdale”, tried to be successful as a singer, while Katy’s dominance was fashion.
Their roommate, Jorge (Jonny Beauchamp), was looking for stardom on Broadway, but he was also performing in the shoes of drag queen Ginger. The quartet was completed by the mysterious Pepper (Julia Chan), who planned to found her own artistic collective.
