The GOFit application, used for home fuel delivery, is suspended in the city of Rio de Janeiro as long as there is no regulation of the service and Operating permit by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

The decision is made by Judge Marcio Alexandre Pacheco da Silva, of the 45th Civil Court of Rio, who welcomed today (6), an injunction from the Trade Union of Fuel and Lubricants and Convenience Stores of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro (Sindcomb ). Failure to comply with the decision will result in a daily fine of R $ 100,000.

The activity offered by the app was to sell and deliver gasoline and ethanol at home. According to information from the file, the service was not authorized to operate by the ANP. In addition, this type of trade is prohibited by the regulatory agency.

"For the practice of the activity of resale of fuels, it is essential the prior authorization of the ANP and the fulfillment of strict requirements, including the requirements of environmental agencies," explained Judge Marcio Alexandre.
